I wanted to personally share an important update about the Trailside Hotel. During Grandma’s Marathon weekend — such a special event here in Duluth — we unfortunately experienced a fire at the property. We received a call in the early morning hours and met the fire department on-site. Thanks to their quick response, everyone was safe, and for that we are deeply grateful.

Sadly, more than fifty percent of our rooms were affected, and the building overall has sustained damage that means we need to close the entire property while we move forward with repairs.

While this is not how we hoped our first season would go, guest safety must come first. We expect repairs to take between 6 and 12 months, and will remain closed during that time.
